I just talked to my parents! My mom had an appointment at Mayo today to talk to another radiologist about her aneurysms. The report was very encouraging. My parents really liked Mayo and the doctor they saw - he spent forty minutes talking with them! His best guess is that the aneurysms were caused by a virus or infection my mom got that spread to her brain. The biggest aneurysm is right next to her ear, which may have been causing some of her ear troubles. This doctor agreed that they would only need to operate on the largest one, and said that the other three are either too small to be a problem or positioned where even if they did swell, they wouldn't cause a stroke. We haven't scheduled a surgery yet, but it will probably be happening within a month. Thank you for your prayers and we'll update if anything changes.
