1. I got all A's in my classes this semester! What a blessing. I remember being so incredibly overwhelmed at the beginning of the semester - I would sit on the back porch with my Bible on my lap, crying because I felt like I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. God was so good to me this semester - I loved all of my professors (except for my crazy nutrition one), I enjoyed my classes, and I made a lot of new friends. It was a really good semester. Here's to hoping that next semester (my LAST one!) is even better!
2. I got my wisdom teeth pulled out yesterday morning. Oh man. There's just so much I could say. My recovery has gone pretty well - my cheeks are really swollen and Eli and Levi has been teasing me all day. Every time I come out of my room, they make chipmunk sounds and ask where I'm storing my nuts. Yes, they're great brothers. Actually though, I feel more like some big-jawed European nordic skier named like Boris or Sven than I do a chipmunk. My cheeks haven't really gotten rounder, they've gotten squarer. I would post a picture, but I still have some pride dignity left. But picture this guy, and you'll get a pretty good idea of what I look like:

3. That was the very first time I'd gotten surgery or anything even close to it. I can only remember a few things about it, which is so weird. The first thing they did was give me laughing gas, which was extremely terrifying. My hands and feet got really tingly feeling and all of a sudden, I felt like I wasn't in my body anymore. My brain was totally awake, but my body was asleep. I heard the surgeon come and and ask how I was doing, but I couldn't open my eyes or mouth to tell him. He tapped my hand and I could suddenly open my eyes. I said I was fine and then he asked me to clench my fist. I closed my eyes again and felt them prick my arm. And the next thing I knew I was waking up on a couch in the recovery room. When I woke up, I felt like my mouth was stuffed with cotton. I reached in to take it out but my mom or the nurse told me that I had to leave the gauze in my mouth. As I brought my hand down, I realized that I'd actually felt my lip - they had numbed my tongue and my bottom lip and they felt like huge cotton balls in my mouth. I drifted back to sleep and woke up again crying. I remember the nurse handing me a kleenex and explaining to my mom that crying was one of the side effects of the anesthetic they'd used on me. My mom left to go bring the car around to the back door (they didn't exactly want me stumbling through the waiting room out to the car), and the nurse helped me put my sweater on. My sweater was reversible and I remember being really annoyed because she reversed it to the wrong side. Then we both walked down this hallway, but I could barely walk so I had to lean on her. When we got to the car, I sank into my seat and fell asleep. So yeah, there you go! I've been spending the past day lying in bed, listening to Christmas music, listening to John Piper sermons, and watching really dumb movies that make me crabby (aka "Morning Glory" - complete waste of time, don't even watch it). It's been nice, actually, just to lay in bed, but I am starting to get a little tired of it. Thankfully, I have awesome friends who are coming over every day starting tomorrow until Thursday when Grace come home from boarding school! I'm looking forward to the week.
4. This is now one of my favorite songs. We sang it in youth group on Wednesday night and I've been listening to it ever since.

Oh, and it was super helpful to hear about the wisdom teeth surgery--I think I'll have to have mine out pretty soon, so it was great to read what to expect :)
